Growing up, I remember asking my parents what they remember most on their wedding day. After my father told me he wished he could’ve toasted my mother, got to dance, and enjoy the evening with his family and friends, I knew that I couldn’t let couples 10, 20, 30 years from now experience those feelings, and it further solidified my decision to go into wedding planning.
I grew up with stories from my mother, who spent every summer of her childhood in Louisiana, about the humidity, hospitality, and graciousness of the South. When I decided to pursue a degree at Louisiana State University in 2012, and was first able to set foot in this land of magnolias, cypress knees, and Second Line bands, I knew I had found my place.
After an internship with another wedding planning company, I then knew I had found my professional calling. I knew putting together the details and logistics of events made my detail and creative mind happy, but it was the connections I made with couples that truly solidified my career choice.
